A Few New Car Sketches

Here is a sketch of a sports car loosely based off of the Toyota FT1 concept. I think that the brown looks good on this car, but there are bunch of pople that don't like brown on cars, and I'm not sure why.

Design Review: Volvo Concept Estate

          I'm loving Volvo's new designs. Starting with the concept coupe, they have been designing what I think are some of the best looking cars. The simplicity is just wonderful. there is nothing that is over the top, nothing that is hard to look at. That's what is good about it, there is nothing bad about it (And the fact that there are plenty of really good things about it). Volvo's new designs have been very unique, and very different from their old designs, but when you see it you can still know that it is a Volvo.
          The Concept Estate has the perfect blend of rounded edges, and sharp, well defined corners.

Dear volvo, please put this car into production.

Hello people I just wanted to let people know that I probably won't be posting much this week, because I have been gone, and that means tons of homework to do!!!!!!!!!!!!! Yay!!!!!!!!! Anyways I hope to get at least one post up.

Design Review: Ferrari California T

       I decided that I would start doing some design reviews, and share what I personally think.     
      A few weeks ago Ferrari revealed the California T. The 'T' standing for turbo of course. Now to the design. The car keeps the same main proportions as the previous California, but Ferrari has given it it's new design treatment. The headlights that we are so used to from the Italian brand that started out on the 458 Italia, and have now moved throughout their lineup. The updated front grille, and many other small changes. The last California was a little controversial in terms of the design, but I liked it a lot. I'm still trying to decide if I like this new one more or less. I think I like it more, but I wish that Ferrari had taken a little bit more of a risk with it. I know that I like the back more, that was the part that I didn't like as much on the back, it was just to... BIG! Though the California as a whole isn't big at all. Comment if you agree or disagree with my opinions.

BMW design sketch

This is just one angle, expect to see more angles of this car coming in the future. I myself really like the design of this car, and that is saying something because I usually over critique myself.

SLS AMG is in progress

My SLS AMG is underway, and so far it is going very well. It has been time consuming of course, in fact the outline alone took me about 2 hours to perfect. Man, angles like this are hard. I think that this one is very good, but let me know what you think, so please leave a comment if you come to this page.

I Draw A LOT!

 This is a picture of the drawings on my desk. You'll notice the giant stack of automobile magazines under the desk :D :D :D :D

Here is a stack of all of them. I recycle about 70% of my drawings, so really I've drawn a lot more than this.

I thought it would be cool to weigh it, so that's what I did. The stack weighed in at nearly 15 pounds!!

BMW pencil drawing

      Here is a BMW M3 drawing that I have been working on. All pencil, it took me along time to complete, probably around seven hours. I hadn't really done a drawing like this before, I usually do pencil or marker sketches.

         When I first started drawing I wasn't very good, as expected. Here is the first car that I ever drew and designed:

  This what I was able to do about 3 weeks after I started











This is after about 2 months of constantly drawing cars. The wheel size is much better here.

  This is a Mclaren MP4-12C that I drew some modifications onto.

  This one doesn't have any wheels, but the line quality was improving a lot. This is probably after about 3.5 years.

  Here is a sketch that I did just a few days ago of a long nosed, front engined supercar.












My drawings got a lot better pretty rapidly. Sometimes I'll look back at a drawing that I did just a couple weeks before and think that it is TERRIBLE.

Audi Design Sketch

I really like designing and drawing cars and I 've been doing it for 6 years now, since I was 7 years old! My dream is to become and exterior designer.

This is an Audi design sketch. I'd been thinking about doing an Audi sketch for a while so I did one. I was thinking this would be the next A5 or S5.
